Not your average cart!

Making a batch of miniature pull carts for the next Vagabond Strays.
Those carts are never meant to look new and factory perfect, but - in character with my Little Bohemians - more like handmade primitive folk art. Assumed to be put together from thrifted materials and found objects, and always a little wobbly and askew.

However, that does not imply quick and shoddy 😅
In reality, all materials used are brand new. The wooden bases are hand sawn by me, then painted and aged, and get my Zolala! label attached to the bottom. The metal wheels are all hand painted with two layers on both sides, distressed a bit, finished with a matte varnish topcoat, and then added to small wooden rods that are cut to size. Next are the teeniest, tiniest bronze metal screw eyes that go into the bases' front, to fasten the hand crocheted pull cords to.
After all paint and varnish and glue has dried, the -working- wheel structures are completed and 'balanced', and.. they are ready to go!
