Elemental Quartet

In the past two weeks, our little "Vagabond Strays" shelter hosted some very special visitors for a very special occasion. And today we love to introduce this quartet of young "Dragons Of The Elements", that came to celebrate the Chinese New Year of the Dragon with us πŸ’• πŸ‰
Join us as we shine a spotlight on each of them:

~ Earth Dragon, Kyri
Earth Dragons are very quiet beings, they will first observe from a distance until they are ready to make friends. They are very straight forward and just a wee bit stubborn, but very loving and nurturing.
Kyri also loves pound cake, mushrooms and broccoli, and really enjoys collecting flowers and bugs, building dams, and climbing trees 🌺🌿

~ Fire Dragon, Fyra
Fire Dragons have a fiery and feisty personality, but can also be very gentle and understanding. It is also true that they can be unpredictable and difficult until they get to know and trust you. And just FYI, Fire Dragons might or might not breathe fire πŸ”₯
True to their nature, Fyra loves fireworks 🧨, building matchstick houses, and firing up the grill for some favorites like tuna melts and s'mores πŸ«“πŸ₯ͺ

~ Water Dragon, Ryne
Water Dragons are sentimental souls, and have a very soothing and calm influence in any situation. They are empathetic, and in touch with the feelings of others. They are a little shy, and prefer to live a quiet life.
Ryne likes water melon, celery, and cucumbers, and gets a real thrill out of playing water balloon dodgeball or sprinkler freeze tag (and has been caught secretly dancing in the rain) πŸŽˆπŸ’¦β˜”

~ Air Dragon, Nyah
Air Dragons have a very peaceful and carefree nature. Gifted with great imagination, they are very good in spells that blow away the old, to create openness to new ideas and dreams.
Nyah is always excited about whipped cream, popcorn, and meringues. Favorite pastimes are kite flying, cloud gazing, and trampoline jumping 🍿πŸͺ

We all have been partying hard and it's been heaps of fun, but after this weekend, once all the commotion is over, the elemental foursome will be most ready and excited to find a loving place of their own to settle down!

We will continue introducing the newest foundlings on Instagram, where we will also share all the information about our online Adoption Day schedule!

Zolala! Blog

Mostly musings and meanderings about my work as a seamstress and miniaturist, with all of the joy and struggle that comes with it.

Hello!

My name is Zo, and I'm endlessly fascinated with all things small: dolls, animals, miniatures, dioramas..
I feel very fortunate to be able to combine them all in my work!
Sewing doll clothes and bringing little critters to life allows me to do what I love every day - and connects me with some really amazing people all over the world.
