Musings on a goat

What I find most fascinating about creating these miniature animals, is the study prior to even lifting a felting needle.
My intention is to not make them too realistic - so I need to capture the essence of what defines each creature, without going into too much detail. What makes a goat a goat? And how can I make him 'mine'?
I struggle most with the simpler critters.. their little spirits often are so hard to catch 😅

Jerome is determined to impress all the ladies, so he has been growing and grooming his beard 😂 .. But with that sweet little face, I don't really think he needs to 💕
