Gummy Gourmands

Now the scorching Summer days are finally over, and Fall is quickly approaching - it's that time of year again that the Garden Snails snap out of aestivation and find the big wide world calling, inviting them to revive their wanderlust and go fulfill some particular desires.. πŸ’•πŸŒ πŸ’•πŸŒ

So, rumor has it that our little "Vagabond Strays" shelter can soon expect quite a stampede - um, invΓ sion - of those endearing shelled gastropods looking for loving homes.
More specific, we have received word that Horton, Newton, Milton, Fulton, Peyton, Colton, Dalton, Fenton, Walton, Hilton, and Burton are on the move to settle in well in time for next mating season.

But.. As slow as they are, Snails can very quickly get on your nerves. Especially when there are many of them, and they seem to be everywhere all the time 🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌 They also ask a lot of questions, mostly of the food kind: "When is dinner?" "Are there cookies?" "Can we have a snack?"
And do you have ANY idea how many cookies these gummy gourmands can munch in a day??!! 😲

So.. instead of providing infinite food and shelter, we decided to organize a PRE-Adoption.
Meaning that we hope to have an address available for each snail upon arrival, and they can continue their journey home without much delay (but with an ordinary travel stash of cookies πŸͺπŸͺπŸͺ)

If you have been looking to adopt a stray Escargot, and don't mind a longer wait:
10 PRE-adoptions will be listed at my Zolala! Shop this Saturday, September 16!β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
(Snails will travel home from September throughout October, on a first come, first served basis!)

We will continue introducing the newest foundlings on Instagram, where we will also share all the information about our online Adoption Day schedule!

Zolala! Blog

Mostly musings and meanderings about my work as a seamstress and miniaturist, with all of the joy and struggle that comes with it.

Hello!

My name is Zo, and I'm endlessly fascinated with all things small: dolls, animals, miniatures, dioramas..
I feel very fortunate to be able to combine them all in my work!
Sewing doll clothes and bringing little critters to life allows me to do what I love every day - and connects me with some really amazing people all over the world.
