Zolala! respects your privacy. This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for the Zolala! website, it applies solely to information collected via this website. It will notify you of the following:

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

Zolala! is the sole owner of the information collected via this website. I only have access to/collect information that you authorized PayPal to provide to me, or when you created a Customer Account (such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the item(s) that you ordered), or that you voluntarily give me via email, or by signing up for the newsletter, or by other direct contact from you.
I will not sell or lease this information to anyone, ever.

All payment made to Zolala! is entirely processed by Paypal through their secure website. PayPal does not share, so I do not collect or store, any credit card or other financial data.

I will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted me. I share information with PayPal as necessary to fulfill your order, and to comply with my obligations under both the PayPal User Agreement, and the PayPal Commercial Entity Agreement.

I share information with Squarespace, my online shop hosting provider, so that they can provide their online shop services. As all payment is entirely processed by Paypal, Squarespace does not collect or store your payment information.
I will not share your information with any other third party outside of my business, other than as necessary, e.g. to ship an order.

The Zolala! website is hosted by Squarespace, and makes use of Squarespace functionality, analytics and performance cookies, and similar technologies to view site traffic and activity. Squarespace collects personal data when you visit this website, including:

  • Information about your browser, network and device

  • Web pages you visited prior to coming to this website

  • Your IP address

Squarespace needs the data to run this website, to create your personalized customer account, shopping cart and checkout, to power the site analytics, and to protect and improve its platform and services. Squarespace analyzes the data in a de-personalized form.

The Zolala! website does not make use of Google Analytics, or store any of your traffic information through any other third-party tracking software when you visit.

The green padlock icon in the address bar at the top of your browser indicates that your connection to the Zolala! website is secure and encrypted using the SSL protocol (Secure Sockets Layer, a data transfer security standard that encrypts data and authenticates the server and the integrity. This means that a website's identity has been verified by a trusted third-party authority and that it has a valid certificate for the URL.)

Your order details will be stored offline for the purpose of record keeping for me to file VAT and Income Tax in accordance with Dutch law. This will not include any payment details other than the method by which you have paid, this may include your name and address. For the Dutch Tax Administration I am obliged by Dutch law to keep these accounting records for at least 7 years.

Only if you have signed up for the Zolala! email Newsletter, which you may revoke at any time, I may contact you via email in the future to inform you about relevant news, shop updates, shop-only exclusives, or changes to this privacy policy.

Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may opt out of any future contacts from Zolala! at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting me via email at zozo@zolala.nl:

  • See what data I have about you, if any.

  • Change/correct any data I have about you.

  • Have me delete any data I have about you.

  • Express any concern you have about my use of your data.

Security

Zolala! takes precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via PayPal or email, your information is protected offline. I do not use cloud services (like Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.) for processing or storage, and I am the only one that is granted access to personally identifiable information. The computer in which I store personally identifiable information is kept in a secure environment.

The Zolala! website contains links to other websites, which are clearly marked as such. Please note that I have no control over external websites. You are subject to the privacy policies of those sites, and I am not responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you may provide to them.

If you feel that Zolala! is not abiding by this privacy policy, you should contact me immediately via email at zozo@zolala.nl.
I may change this privacy policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check back occasionally to ensure that you are content with any changes. This policy is effective from April 28, 2018.
